I skipped a day and all hell broke loose...

The U.S. Government decides to go after the embattled Lybian regime. Which for anyone over the age of twenty-five has been a long time coming. The last time the Lybian regime got their panties in a bunch President Ronald Reagan slapped them around. For those that do not remember this is a brief description. Muammar Gaddafi challenged the U.S. by basically saying you can't touch me from way over their. The U.S. sent fighter jets into Lybia to confront Gaddafi. It was most interesting because we actually sent a massage to France at the same time. The French would not allow the U.S. to use their airspace to shorten the trip so we accidently bombed their embassy. The excuse was the pilots were tired and hit the French embassy by mistake. Back to the Lybian targets...

...Gaddafi said we could not touch him so we blew up his homes and killed most of his family. It seems the lesson lasted about twenty to twenty-five years. Gaddafi was left in power and let's be honest we don't have a very good history when that happens eventually it comes back to bite us in the end (i.e.Saddam Hussein), This time we are supposeedly trying to remove him from office.

Meanwhile back at the Ranch...

...Arlington Texas that is. The NFL has once again proven they have no clue when it comes to dealing with ignorant children. Dex Bryant and his group of thugs have stolen over $800,000 dollars in jewelry and other things as well as offending many people by letting their collective asses or at least their underwear hang out it public. I, for one, am definately offended by the fad of people letting their pants hang down to their knees and showing their underwear everywhere they go. But in the place they were the policies are if you let it show you can either fix it or leave. This offended Dez Bryant and his group so they decide to raise a stink with security. If you don't like the rules stay out! Doesn't thw idea of flirting with disaster with troubled players cloud the judgment or what. The Dallas Cowboys, a team I am a fan of, hve a history of dealing with troubled players, i.e. Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders, and Adam "Pacman" Jones (see earlier post), some worked in the case of Sanders and Irvin both Hall of Famers. Others did not in the much publicized cases of Adam Jones. The future will tell us about Dez Bryant but for now I can just chalk it up to boys being boys right? NO! This is just another example of the NFL letting thugs and immature idiots taint an otherwise great product. Most people love the game and seeing it on the professional level is a real treat but believe me when I say we can have just as much fun watching high school and pee wee football without the thugs. Enjoying the game for the game itself is a great thing too. One day the huge resounding pop of the NFL pulling its collective head out of its collective ass will maybe wake them up. Let those that can be a positive role model and an athelte play the game. Ban the rest!
