I skipped a day and all hell broke loose...

The U.S. Government decides to go after the embattled Lybian regime. Which for anyone over the age of twenty-five has been a long time coming. The last time the Lybian regime got their panties in a bunch President Ronald Reagan slapped them around. For those that do not remember this is a brief description. Muammar Gaddafi challenged the U.S. by basically saying you can't touch me from way over their. The U.S. sent fighter jets into Lybia to confront Gaddafi. It was most interesting because we actually sent a massage to France at the same time. The French would not allow the U.S. to use their airspace to shorten the trip so we accidently bombed their embassy. The excuse was the pilots were tired and hit the French embassy by mistake. Back to the Lybian targets...

...Gaddafi said we could not touch him so we blew up his homes and killed most of his family. It seems the lesson lasted about twenty to twenty-five years. Gaddafi was left in power and let's be honest we don't have a very good history when that happens eventually it comes back to bite us in the end (i.e.Saddam Hussein), This time we are supposeedly trying to remove him from office.

Meanwhile back at the Ranch...

...Arlington Texas that is. The NFL has once again proven they have no clue when it comes to dealing with ignorant children. Dex Bryant and his group of thugs have stolen over $800,000 dollars in jewelry and other things as well as offending many people by letting their collective asses or at least their underwear hang out it public. I, for one, am definately offended by the fad of people letting their pants hang down to their knees and showing their underwear everywhere they go. But in the place they were the policies are if you let it show you can either fix it or leave. This offended Dez Bryant and his group so they decide to raise a stink with security. If you don't like the rules stay out! Doesn't thw idea of flirting with disaster with troubled players cloud the judgment or what. The Dallas Cowboys, a team I am a fan of, hve a history of dealing with troubled players, i.e. Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders, and Adam "Pacman" Jones (see earlier post), some worked in the case of Sanders and Irvin both Hall of Famers. Others did not in the much publicized cases of Adam Jones. The future will tell us about Dez Bryant but for now I can just chalk it up to boys being boys right? NO! This is just another example of the NFL letting thugs and immature idiots taint an otherwise great product. Most people love the game and seeing it on the professional level is a real treat but believe me when I say we can have just as much fun watching high school and pee wee football without the thugs. Enjoying the game for the game itself is a great thing too. One day the huge resounding pop of the NFL pulling its collective head out of its collective ass will maybe wake them up. Let those that can be a positive role model and an athelte play the game. Ban the rest!

I just found out...

I just learned the fact that Gereldine Ferraro passed away on Saturday. For those unaware of who she was, she was the first female vice presidential candidate of the United States. She always carried herself with class at a time when the campaign was being blasted as the worst defeat of a presidential campaign in history. Her running mate was Walter Mondale and they ran against Ronald reagan and George H. W. Bush. I do not recall any ill words by either her or Mr. Mondale over the years and I am sure there have been ample chances to do so. She was an incredibly classy and intelligent woman to me inspite of the fact I never met her I have an enormous amount of respect for her. She came up short in her id to become Viec President of the United Staes but she will live on in history and in my mind as not only a trend setter but as a pioneer for women everywhere. Rest in peace and your style and grace will be missed!

Stuck in my Craw...

I am a Facebook user so this is something that I run into alot.

I play games on Facebook and regardless of how little time I am on any certain game I keep being bombarded by pop up notifications telling me to send gifts to my gaming friends. Which I do as soon as I start the game every day. However, I receive these pop ups every fifteen to thirty seconds complicating the gameplay itself. I also know for a fact that Facebook limits the number of game gifts one can send in any game. I created a cause to address this issue and Facebook deleted the cause after 50,000+ members had joined stating that the cause was against the policies of the causes allowed on Facebook. 50,000+ members stated they were not happy that Facebook put limits on the amount of socializing they could do and Facebook ignored their pleas for help. This just goes to prove Facebook does not care about its customers nor is just another faceless company out to steal the monies being spent to play games. I do not agree with this policy and I know for a fact the company is sold publically on the stock exchange. If anyone knows a stock holder please have them contast me!

Sports and the millionaires that play them!

Well, I guess as a well rounded individual I must show a few other facets of my personality.

My condolences go out to the Ohio State Buckeyes after a stunning defeat in the NCAA Basketball Tournament to the Kentucky Wildcats. The only game I have actually been looking forward to. My bracket was busted a while ago and this is the only matchup that was still in place. Fortunately, Kentucky won to make my bracket still alive and considering I picked them to win the tournament I guess I still have a chance.

I find myself looking forward to the upcoming NFL Draft, however, I find myself wondering if the draft picks will even be on the field this season. Or any players for that matter. The overpaid whiners are complaining because they cannot see the financial books of the incredibly rich owners of the franchises they play for. Because they want even more money. I cannot be the only person that believes this to be rediculous. I have worked for many employers in my lifetime and I have only on rare occasion seen their full financial books and that was only after the companies closed. If I could look at an employers books to decide my salary I would have been ecstatic. I have lost an incredible amount of respect for the NFL in that idea of the people they keep allowing to be in their league. A group of convicted felons, a group of wife abusers and rapists, a group of people that think they are entitled to anything they want just because they can run, throw, catch, and/or tackle. Athletes today have been given the free pass so many times they do things because they have no limits placed on them. I blame parents, coaches, society, and anyone else that has made it clear they can do whatever they want without consequences (yes police and judges are to blame too). I recall many of the athletes from my past have had certain liberties that the general populace could not have with regard to booze, drugs, and partying. I also understand the shortness of the average career of an athlete. But does that really mean they should have the right to rape women, be involved in nightclub gun charges and shootings, or be allowed to finance and head dog fighting groups. NO! Until the league steps up and shows these whining fools they must take responsibility for their actions they never will at any level. The next Adam "Pacman" Jones, Michael Vick, and Ben Rothlesberger are in grade schools all over the country stand up and show the role models they are not able to get away with thiese things just because they have all of their lives. Thugs and drug users don't belong in high profile jobs. Neither do animal abusers, wife beaters, or rapists. NFL clean up your own backyard for the sake of the future.

Michael Vick has done his time and I understand that. However, when was the last time any felon was given millions of dollars to be able to restart his criminal empire in a quieter and less structured legal community. The boy needs to grow up and take responsibility for his actions. Which he has never done! He served his jail time, fine! But he only did the bare minimum of anything else which only means his remorse was that he got caught not that he did the crime.

Adam Jones has been given chance after chance time and time again. His attitude is not conducive to anything good. When a former bad boy of the NFL Michal Irvin says he can't handle Adam Jones' attitude someone needs to take a good look at the person and get him real help.

Ben Rothlesberger is a rapist whether the law wants to agree and convict him or not. Once is a fluke twice is a lifestyle. If anyone would just look into his high school and collegiate past they will probably find more times this has been a problem. I am all for a little slap and tickle sometimes but lets be blunt. He was wrong! I am not saying I know everything about the case but COME ON people. If you put yourself in that position you get what you get. The entire reason why nightclubs are what they are is because the average population cannot afford the equipment and products they need to throw these kind of parties in there homes. That is not the case with "Big" Ben. He has enough money to buy a building and create an atmosphere to attracted the type of people to it that are more open with their virtue and not have to rape them.

Roger Goodell needs to step up and put these members of society out of the company he is in charge of. Until that happens the black eye is going to stay and so is the loss of respect!

I am not a heartless prick...

I just want to express my thinking on a few topics to start off with today.

1. I do not understand why in this country (I am from and live in the United States) our government feels the absolute need to spend billions of dollars to fund the antiquated and backward revolutions of countries we are supposedly not aligned with. We are supposedly allies with countries such as Egypt but we are yelling for changes in their government. Why? We have no right to do this and even if we did does it really have a great history of working in our favor? No! We placed Saddam Hussein into power in Iraq many years ago and we all saw how that worked out.

2. We spend billions of dollars to rebuild countries after we stomp the hell out of them with sanctions and even wars but yet they have never bothered to repay the reparations we have provided. We as a country are floating on billions of dollars in National Debt based entirely on the fact we are unable to repay the world loans we took out many years ago. We continually pay interest payments on these loans to the countries we borrowed from but we never pay on the actual loan amount.

3. We send billions of dollars each year in aid to other countries and yet we cannot even figure out how to house and feed our own countrymen. We have people being made homeless by non-caring banking establishments and soulless corporations. The medical companies and the drug companies ahve made it impossible for us to even afford to get sick let alone stay healthy. We have servicemen and women that found for our country during past wars that cannot even be cared for properly due to corruption in the VA hospitals and in government. I find that personally disgusting!

4. I am tired of the CONSTANT ads being flashed everywhere for the tradgedy in foriegn countries due to climatic changes and disasters. The latest bieng the current problems in Japan. Is it my imagination it was Japan not the third richest country in the world before the tsunami? Why then are we paying out donations to rebuild them because I promise if it was here those countries would not be running those ads to help us. (i.e. Hurricane Katrina). The powers that we in charge during Katrina cleanup actually denied help from other countries such as Cuba because they did not like their politics. That is a load of crap! People are donating what few dollars we are able to scrounge up to send to Japan to help them and that is a wonderful idea, however, who decides where that money is spent and used? The charities hire people and pay them to decide these things. Out of the Billions of dollars sent in by consumers only about 25% will actually get to its intended location, or less! Bureaucratic garbage will see to that. In addition the government will tax the charities in this country for the things they buy and send and also as an entity. Not to mention what the foriegn country will do. If you want to help volunteer time! It cannot be taxed and it cannot be stolen by the charaties either. Spend a few weeks in that country as a vacation helping the actual people that are devastated.

5. Stop the presses! I live in a small town that was affected by the floods when the Mississippi River escaped it banks and sent massive amounts of water into many communities. I worked at a facility that housed the press members covering the events as they supposedly unfolded. A press member asked me the day he arrived if I knew of anyone that was hit by the floods. I said I knew of many people that were dealing with flooding in their homes and businesses. He said he did not want a story on the people that were able to rebuild he wanted a story of someone that lost everything. So when I asked him if they wanted tio just portray the few people that sensationalize the flood instead of the truth that everyone in my area give or take was able to rebuild he decided to take his crew over a hundred miles south where a few people lost there homes. I do not understand! The press does not want the truth because the truth does not sell air time and newspapers. Just once I would love to see a news outlet tell the truthg without the spin on it that is required for the owners to get their message out. News outlets are not where you find the truth, they are where you find the opinions of the people that own or sit on the board of the outlets. I for one believe they should call them as they see them.

6. Stop the press hounds too! We don't care what color Britney Spears panties are this week! Stop hounding these people because you are just feeding into the bullshit that the news outlets are going for. Sensationalism breeds sensationalism. I, for one, do not care what the flavoir of the month starlet and star is doing this week. I will limit my interest to when their next movie comes out. I don't care that Tom Cruise jumped around on some woman's couch, I just wanted to see Mission Impossible: III. I don't care who is marrying whom because I have enough problems with my own relationships. Everyone can go another day without hearing about the latest divorce or reconcilliation. Mainly because the crap slung around by the shopping center rags is just that it is crap! The sensationalism breeds either more sensationalism or a new level of stalking. Which would you want to be a part of?

This is a small example of the types of things that will be found here! If you can read this and enjoy it and maybe learn a nugget or two, even better! If you don't like it, I understand  and have a nice day!

Brain Extractions is a way to refocus my mind on what is important.

I have no interest in being any type of political forum or religious outlet or anything else like that I simply wish to be able to place thoughts out there for myself and eventually others to read and revisit.
